UK Launch - London Toy Fair January 2007

Gelli Baff was successfully launched in the UK at the Toy Fair in 2007, and within its first year was awarded the prestigious gift of the year award by EMAP (the organisers of Autumn and Spring Fairs).
Since the launch the Gelli Baff idea has evolved within numerous different industries:

Toy Industry:

Gelli Baff is currently stocked in Tesco’s spring/summer range with this season being the seventh consecutive season since our launch in 2007. Our new offering Gelli Play, which is a counter top version of Gelli Baff, has also been confirmed in Tesco’s Autumn/Winter 2010 range, as a category A toy. This will sit alongside the standard Gelli Baff. Tesco are currently the UK’s largest retailer by a considerable margin.

It has also been continuously ranged by Toys R Us, Smyths Toys, The Entertainer, Hawkins Bazaar, Play.com & Amazon from launch as well as thousands of independents throughout the UK.

Educational Industry:

Gelli Baff has been re-branded as “Messy Play” for the educational industry. Messy Play is a fantastic ‘sensory play’ product for kids within schools/nurseries etc. Teachers love it because, no matter how much mess children make with Messy Play, it cleans up easily, it doesn’t stain carpets, kids or clothes, is completely safe as well as being biodegradable! .

Messy Play has been continuously ranged with every major UK educational supplier since 2007, suppliers include Asco, Findel & TTS Group etc.

Beauty Industry:

Our adult G Spa range has enjoyed further success within thousands of beauty salons, chemists etc throughout the UK since 2008.





 

Australian Launch – March 2009

Launched in Australia in March 2009 at the Australian Toy & Hobby fair Gelli Baff was a virtual ‘overnight success’ It is now, without exception, ranged in every major retailer in Australia including Toys R Us, Big W, Kmart, Target, Woolworths & Toyworld etc.

US Launch – February 2010

Gelli Baff was previewed in the US at the New York Toy Fair in February 2010.

Gelli Baff attracted huge media attention eg ABC news who aired the uses of Gelli Baff on their primetime ‘Good Morning America’ show. It also attracted interest from numerous major US retailers whom will be ranging Gelli Baff in the coming months.
